Canada-based artist Julie Villeneuve from Earthlings Porcelain creates stunning handmade ceramic cups, mugs and teacups inspired by her eccentric style and quirky contemporary aesthetic. Villeneuve’s desire to create functional objects with an unusual and artistic feel makes her work unique.
She usually spends her days molding, casting, designing and manually creating every piece. She tells us, “…Each piece can be fired up to four times at temperatures reaching over 1000ºC, every firing lasting a day, resulting in a labor intensive final product.”

no offense but while i am glad hayley kiyoko and other artists like her are making music and being visible for lesbians n bi girls i am so profoundly alienated by the entire Soft Sapphic aesthetic and can’t find any joy in it at all
i think it’s mainly because it’s inherently ultra feminine and as someone who really struggled with compulsory femininity and who’s sexuality is very much tied to my gender nonconforming presentation i find it downright suffocating that those positive depictions of gay female sexuality are so wrapped up in this very specific super feminine aesthetic every time.
it seems like butch and gender nonconforming women are not allowed to be depicted in those videos, pictures, etc because they somehow threaten the Soft and Pure image and that makes me sad
(not even gonna start on how abled and for the most part with few exceptions white it is)
and like… i don’t blame single artists for this but i do wish i could feel represented by it as much as other people do i guess
